Pakistan Navy offers jobs to Balochistan youths
Pakistan Navy has introduced a special selection and recruitment package for youths of Balochistan. According to a PN press release, apart from Baloch youths’ recruitment in sailors’ cadre, they are also being inducted into the officer category. The PN has re-introduced N-cadet scheme in Balochistan whereby students will be admitted in selected cadet colleges for a period of five years. Later, they will be given an option to join the Pakistan Navy.
An unprecedented concession under the package has been introduced wherein officers from the province will be inducted into the Short Service Commission without undergoing ISSB tests and they will be given special relaxation in the standard academic and age criteria.
In Gwadar, Turbat, Pasni and Ormara, recruitment is being carried out through mobile selection teams.
Pakistan Navy was also extending free education facility to a large number of students through Bahria Model Schools at Gwadar and Ormara.

Solution to Balochistan Issue
The decision to convene an APC on Balochistan was announced by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani who constituted a committee of ministers and PPP leaders to contact politicians all over the country to convince them to participate in the conference.
The way out of this situation demands that we should learn from history. The Balochistan problem must no more be seen in the security perspective only. Focus must be shifted on its strong political and social elements. Let me add a few recommendations for resolution of this simmering issue.
First, there is a dire need to popularise education in the southern part of the Balochistan where the literacy rate is minimal as compared to the northern part that is predonimantly a Pashtun area. According to an NGO working on education in Balochistan, a large percentage of children do not any get education because there are no schools in their locality. Those that exist here and there are in fact ghost schools.
Education is regarded as a panacea for all ills because it brings tolerance and moderation in society. In order to bring enlightenment and moderation in Baloch-dominated areas, it is, therefore, necessary for the government to invest in the education sector so that people may not be used by foreign players to serve their interests and work against the integrity of Pakistan.
Secondly, as the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project is going to start working soon, the government should ensure that all employment opportunities must go the local Baloch people. By doing so, we can achieve two objectives; one, the security of the pipeline that will pass through this province for almost 1,000km; second, the employment to the Baloch people.
It will help bring peace and prosperity to the poor people of Balochistan, as well as help contain the law and order situation that is getting worse day by day.
Thirdly, the government should implement the NFC award in letter and in spirit which may lessen the worries of the Baloch masses, as Balochistan stands to gain much.
Fourthly, companies which are working on Gwadar Port and on other mega projects must be made liable to train Baloch people through internship and later provide them jobs.
Fifthly, Baloch parliamentarians and the provincial government must strive hard to end the tribal and sardari system by making Baloch people free from the cruel control of the sardars and tribal lords. This step will also empower the women and will help them get rid of all outdated traditions and practices prevailing in their society.
These measures may go a long way in overcoming the difficulties faced by the people of Balochistan and help the government to establish its writ in the province.

Brhamdagh Bugti’s interest behind the killing of Domki’s wife
Murder of the wife and daughter of Mir Bakhtiar Domki, member of Balochistan Assembly, has enraged the people of Balochistan. The ladies happen to be from Bugti family. It is mentionable here that Domki’s wife is the sister of Brahamdagh Bugti who is the head of a militant group and seeking for political asylum in Switzerland now a days.
It is quite clear that murder of Domki’s wife was pre planned and there could be many reasons behind these killings It is also possible that the murder could be the result of strong tribal enmity of Bugti tribe with other tribes of Balochistan, or the victim may be killed to strengthen the case of “political asylum” in Switzerland for Brahamdagh bugti. Or maybe just to spoil the image of Pakistan security forces by blaming them for extrajudicial killings. Security agencies have offered to form joint investigation team for the transparent investigation of the incident so that the real murderer can be unmasked. But it is a question mark that why agencies are not allowed to be the part of the investigation.
We can say that murder of wife, daughter and driver of Domki and current wave of blasts are interlinked and there may be the great interest of those who are seeking political asylum in foreign countries.
BLA, BRP and BLF are killing innocent people in Balochistan
A number of bitter questions come to mind once we see the pictures of children, women and young people being killed and crippled by the mine blasts and IEDs in Balochistan. Unfortunately, the Province with abundant potential to develop and progress is being pushed back to “darkness” by the criminal elements. The phenomenon is resulting into orphan children and impoverished families who do not even know why such catastrophe is unleashed on them. They are the innocent sufferers of the wreck less criminal acts of the so called ‘liberation seekers’
The almost daily acts of terrorism and killings in Balochistan cannot be the handiwork of a few misguided people and certainly there are foreign agencies that are providing them arms and ammunition and financial support. Hundreds of people migrated to other areas due life threats because of tribal enmities and these criminal elements are blaming security agencies for the abduction of these so called missing persons.
People should launch a full-fledged movement against the terrorist outfits Baloch Liberation Front and Baloch Liberation Army. B.L.A and B.L.F are no different than al Qaeda. These militant groups are actively involved in terrorist activities in Balochistan and working on western agenda to defame Pakistani security agencies.
