Technical Training Centers in Balochistan

Pakistan Army is helping people of Balochistan to increase their technical skills for improvement and opens new areas of employment for youth of Balochistan. Army has established various technical institutes in collaboration with National Vocational and Technical Education Commission (NAVTEC). Army School of Technicians (AST) is imparting skill development training to local un-employed youth since 2006. 1,013 Balochistan Students have been given technical training through Balochistan Institute of Technical Education (BITE) and Army School of Technicians (AST) Presently 511 Balochistan Students are undergoing training in BITE.
Pakistan Army is also conducting a post course employments programs in which 62 individuals have also been inducted in Armed Forces after getting expertise from NAVTEC. Many individuals have also started their own small business in different areas of Balochistan. So far 70 individuals have been adjusted in various departments of Govt. This process is growing day by day helping to create new jobs and carrier opportunities for Balochs. So far about 1000 students have completed training in various skill development courses and 500 students are currently attending these courses. Female students are undergoing training in Dress Designing, Beautician and Computer Operator Courses.
Army started a comprehensive social uplift programme. Army mainly focused on education, health, and communications. Education Programme was launched with special emphasis to educate the children of Marri, Luni and other tribes of the area and provision of health facilities. 4 Water sup schemes have been completed. Construction of 25 bed hospital is in progress.Chamalang is emerging as a modern town, the telephonic link is established and Army has developed, 76 Kilometers long road from minefield to market. All these projects are aimed to uplift the life standard of Balochs and giving them opportunites to come in economic activities of Pakistan.
