Thal-Parachinar road is the main road which links Kurram agency with other parts of country. Unfortunately due to some sectarian conflicts Thal-Parachinar road was blocked since 2007 and many militant groups have their control on different areas of the road. These militant groups were getting support from Afghanistan and have strong hold on this road. Pakistan army took action against militants and started peace operation. Local administration and people of Kurram agency were in support of Pakistan army and they started a dialogue process between different tribes and agreed to eradicate these militants. Pakistan army conducted a successful operation against militant groups and cleared Thal-Parachinar road.
Now Thal-Parachinar road is clear and Pakistan army has number of check posts. People of Kurram agency are using this road fearlessly and this road connects Kurram agency with other parts of country and a development process is going on different schools, shops dispensaries are operational on Thal-Parachenar road. On other hand dialogue process is continue between different sects in Kurram agency and they are looking forward to continue peace and harmony in the region. People of Kurram agency are satisfied and have confidence in Pak army that Thal-Parachenar road will open for long time and Pakistan army will protect them from any unpredicted condition. People are getting back to their normal lives and going back to their homes which were supposed to be unsafe before peace operation of Pakistan army. People of Kurram agency are satisfied and admit the efforts of Pakistan army to bring peace in the region.
