Brahamdagh Bugti Should Not Be Given Political Asylum

Brahumdagh Bugti, the grandson of Nawab Akbar Bugti and founder of two most deadliest terrorist outfits i.e. Balochistan Republican Party (BRP) and Balochistan Republican Army (BRA). Recently, Brahamdagh Bugti has applied for political asylum in Switzerland.

But if we look the past and present status of Brahamdagh Bugti, It would not be wrong in saying that Barhamdagh is a terrorist. Barhamdagh Bugti is financially supported by those foreign elements who are dreaming for creation of a free Balochistan. Brahamdagh Bugti is involved in the murder of innocent civilians, including women and children. He run private jails and torture camps, and is also involved in abduction, kidnapping of local civilians for ransom and also security personnel for acceptance of his illegitimate demands.
He should not be given Political asylum in switzerland because he is responsible for killing innocent civilians and security persons.

Brahamdagh Bugti: a Terrorist

The main character behind the present precarious situation in Balochistan appears to be Brahamdagh Bugti who draws his sustenance from India.

Continuing with his father’s tradition, Brahamdagh Bugti openly calls for the murder of innocent Balochis, including innocent women and children. He run private jails and torture camps for their defectees and rivals, and is also involved in abduction, kidnapping of local civilians for ransom and also security personnel for acceptance of his illegitimate demands.
In addition to their unreasonable demands, nationalists and Baloch sardars were blowing the issue of disappeared persons out of proportion. But a number of missing persons could be in Afghanistan and India on the behest of Brahamdagh Bugti and other groups. According to a news report carried by national English daily a few months ago, more than 100 Pakistani Baloch dissidents have been sent to India by the Indian consulate located in Kandahar (Afghanistan) for six-month training.
Recently, Brahamdagh Bugti has applied for political asylum in Switzerland. Political asylum should not be given to such a person who is the head of a terrorist group killing innocent civilians and security persons.

Balochs Induction in Army

In order to create awareness among the Baloch youth about the military, and subsequently choosing it as their profession, over the past few years, the Armed Forces have started a massive awareness campaign and concession package all over the province. To the level of Pak Army, this campaign met overwhelming successes. Thousands of the Baloch youth appeared for the recruitment in various Army recruitment centres. 4,000 Baloch recruits of this colossal recruitment campaign have completed their basic military training on October 29, 2010 and joined various units of Pak Army as soldiers. Induction of these soldiers in such strength is indeed a historical occasion for their families and province. Besides, 10,000 Baloch recruits still undergoing basic military training in various training institutions are likely to pass out in the near future.
The major reward of this decision of massive recruitment followed by successful training of the Baloch youth goes to Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, who conceived and implemented this unparalleled idea. Indeed, he is a man of wisdom and farsightedness. Under his dynamic command, Pak Army is touching the heights of professionalism and national service. It is for the first time that passing out parade of Baloch soldiers held simultaneously at Quetta, Khuzdar, Sibbi, Sui, and Zhob. Governor Balochistan, Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi, alongwith Chief Minister and Commander Southern Command was the chief guest of the parade in Quetta. Most of the provincial ministers and notables of the province attended the ceremony. The event was widely appreciated by the people of Balochistan. While emphasizing on the need of promoting the national harmony against the global conspiracies, the Chief Guest (Governor Balochistan) said, "Induction of Baloch youth into the army would help improve socio-economic conditions of the province which had been ignored in the past".
The Governor appreciated the efforts of Pak Army for this massive recruitment, and provision of quality training to the Baloch youth and hoped that, "induction of thousands of Baloch youths into the army would bring about positive changes in the province". Indeed, it was a great moment for the province to see its youths becoming part of the Army. These youths have received training, which will enable them to meet internal and external challenges faced by the nation. The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Nawab Aslam Raisani stressed on the newly inducted recruits to, "sustain the trend to strengthen the federation and frustrate the evil designs of enemies of the country."

Remarkable Improvement in Education System

Significant step taken by Pak Army is the promotion of education in the remote areas of the country. Local Army units have been assigned by the COAS to arrange educational classes for the children of poor people who cannot afford the heavy expenses of imparting the education to their kids. In many cases, Pak Army bears the expenditures of the children locally as well as studying elsewhere. Many youths from various parts of FATA, KPK, Balochistan and other remote areas are being educated in public schools and academies running under Pak Army throughout the country. Their boarding, lodging and tuition fee is borne by Pak Army from its own resources. This indeed is a great service Pak Army imparting for the better future of the people of Pakistan.
Pakistan Army renovated/refurnished 110 Schools in Balochistan, 16,204 Balochistan Students are being educated in 32Army / FC Public School and Colleges. Establishment of Hostel for 100 Students from Marri and Luni Tribes belonging to Loralai and Kohlu Dists has been established at Quetta Cantt. Free boarding, lodging and med facility along with monthly stipend of Rs 500/- is being provided to each student. An average, Rs 6,500/- is being spent on each student per month.
I must say that, 'where there is a will, there is a way'. Pak Army achieved what it strived for with sincerity and the will to do that. Sincerity of approach is essential factor at all levels. As a nation, there is a need that we "strengthen our political system and institutions, develop a dynamic and sustainable growth, eradicate corruption, provide timely justice, enhance employment, undertake steps for population control, seek consensus based political solutions, and resolve ethnic, sectarian and religious fault lines. We may not keep waiting for heavens and others to reduce our plight; we will have to do it by ourselves.

Khayber Institute Of Technical Education

The Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) historically and traditionally had a unique administrative and political status from the British times since 1849. They controlled the area through a combination of effective Political Agents and tribal elders, while leaving the people with their traditions and internal independence. Pakistan inherited this system and more or less continues with it even today. Since the independence of Pakistan, FATA has not been accorded the same priority in terms of the development process being undertaken in other parts of the country. Since independence these areas have been under the control of Federal Government. To bring these people in main stream and for development of these areas Federal Government, FATA Secretariat and FATA Development Authority have taken number of steps. In concert with the vision of Federal Government, Pakistan Army has also taken a step forward to contribute in the field of education especially vocational and technical education.
Establishment of KITE by Pakistan Army is one of the steps in this direction. The purpose of establishing KITE was to harness enormous human resources of our homeland and to help generate a technical work force.  Mores to contribute positively and to help a segment of our society, which could not get education and is financially weak.
The KITE was formally launched in Oct 2006, however training of 1st Batch commenced in Jan 2007 in collaboration with NAVTEC (National Vocational & Technical Education Commission). However after 4th Batch, FDA (FATA Development Authority) remained actively involved with KITE and is providing financial support for KITE students. KITE has so far organized eight courses and trained 1361 students. Best possible environments are provided to the students so as to develop their technical skills and also make them very useful member of this society.
People of FATA are satisfied with the efforts of Pakistan Army to explore the talent of young people of FATA and they are thankful to Pak army for bringing economics activities in FATA.
